THIS WEEK - AG JAMESON
Our guest this week will be District 5400 Assistant Governor John Jameson. John is one of 13 Assistant  Governors assisting Governor Rich Kirkham in riding herd over all our clubs. John is the liaison for Metro, Southwest, Centennial and Eagle/Garden City. John is a member of Boise East Rotary , a member since 2010. He's a real estate attorney. John will tell us what's happening in Rotary District world and beyond.
EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP GRANT APPROVED
District 5400 announced the Boise Metro and Boise Sunrise grant for $19,000. to support Everyday Leadership has been approved! The project will enable 75 at-risk students at Garfield, Grace Jordan, and Koelsch Elementary Schools in Boise, Idaho to participate in the year-long Everyday Leadership Program.
GREENBELT - GOOD NEWS
As you may have heard, our two District Grants have been approved!! Boise Centennial $5,000 toward the interpretive signs; Eagle/Garden City $4,100 toward the park benches, etc.  So, here's where we stand:

Ground Work - fully funded $47,000
Interpretive Signs - $10,000 cost, we have $5,000
Moving DAR monument  $9,000 cost, we have about $6500.

We have challenged the DAR ladies to raise the $3500 they need to move their monument (they have enthusiastically accepted!). So we are left with just $5,000 for the signs. We are still selling bricks and there are some "asks" outstanding. If you haven't bought your brick yet, now is the time. Once our goal is reached they won't be available anymore.

We have a date with FOX9 News for an interview next Wednesday.

ODDS 'N ENDS
Our "cause" for this third quarter will be school Supplies......we have 3 young people going to RYLA next month.......there were milestones celebrated last week - Barb celebrated her xxth birthday; the Biggses celebrated their 50th anniversary........Cornelia got a few volunteers to swab their cheeks last week......our Gift of Life program was done virtually from Florida.....it worked OK.........Will and Eric were at the same party in San Diego last week..... next Board meeting will be August 6th.....
