HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
THIS WEEK - Bureau of Reclamation
Our speaker this week will be Roland Springer, Area Manager of The Snake River Area Office (SRAO) of the Bureau of Reclamation's Pacific Northwest Region with headquarters in Boise. He oversees all aspects of the management, development and protection of water and related resources in the Snake River drainage basin.
HOT DOGS FOR SENIORS SATURDAY
Next Saturday the 23rd we will once again serve a light picnic lunch for the Idaho Senior Games' 5k run/walk event. We'll plan on serving 60 people at about noon at the Ag Pavilion in Julia Davis Park, across from the zoo. Our menu will be hot dogs, baked beans, chips and drink. We need TWO people to bring a crockpot full of beans, and ONE person to be the Grillmaster, starting the charcoal and tending to the dogs. A few others are needed to serve, clean up, etc. If you can help, please contact Dave Wilson or John Biggs as soon as possible.
GREENBELT UPDATE
We had a meeting with Toby Norton of Parks and Rec last week. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce Toby to our Contractors in Residence, Brian McCoy and Jeff Dinwiddie.  We are trying to scheme a way to proceed without having to go through the open bid process. The construction plans and drawings are completed. Brian will review them and we'll come up with a strategy! (the biggest challenge is moving the monument)
