HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
THIS WEEK- GOOD SAMARITAN HOME
Our speaker this week will be Peg Richards from the Good Samaritan Home of Boise.
The Good Samaritan Home opened its doors in January 1942, serving nine men and women, who may not have had another place to call Home because they were identified as “less fortunate.” Our mission has never changed in 75 years, we provide one program, one project, one mission, to provide a Home for the less fortunate.
GREENBELT UPDATE - WE HAVE A PARTNER!
Yesterday I presented our Greenbelt project to the members of the D.A.R. Specifically, it was to ask them to approve the idea of moving "their" monument over to our site. As you know, the monument in question in located next to the Boise Inn, over by Joe's Crab Shack, in an invisible location on N. Garden St. As it happens, the D.A.R. had been talking about moving it for some time. The members enthusiastically approved the motion! They are excited to have their monument out in the open where they can their story......... and we get our monument! They will also be able to purchase bricks to help with the cost of moving the monument; including an option to buy the 8x8 brick with the D.A.R. logo.

Now that we've solved that problem, its back in the city's court to tell us what happens next. Stay tuned!
