THIS WEEK - TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION
Our program this week will be Lana Grover from the BSU Department of Education Technology. She is an E-Learning Designer and Mobile Learning Specialist. (Remember our Russian visitors last year?)
ROSES, ROSES - FINAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. I could use one or two helpers to get the roses from DFW to Borah Monday morning at about 7am. If you can help, email him with Rose Sale Shuttle in the subject.
2. We'll work to have a few dozen for delivery at the meeting Tuesday but the majority of deliveries need to be done Wednesday & Thursday. I will send a detailed email about pickup procedure at Borah to the entire club by Monday afternoon.
3. Members who cannot make their own deliveries need to let me know a) name of recipient and b) address for delivery.
4. Anyone willing to help with deliveries, please reach out directly to me and use Rose Sale Deliveries in the subject line.
5. I need a final count for the control list for Jeremy at Borah by Monday at 7pm.
6. Please do not turn in money to me until you have 100% of your order money collected.

Thanks for all your efforts!!
TELAYA WINERY EVENT PRODUCTIVE
Lots of folks showed up at Telaya Winery on Friday afternoon to hear information about the Rotary Park on the Greenbelt. By the time the evening ended, we had sold 18 more bricks with many more promises to do it "when I get home". Thanks to Michela and James for manning the sales table while John cruised the room telling the stories. Our fundraising has been going great! We are confident that by the end of October we'll be able to announce that we've reached our goal! Since we can't use the original "Lugenbeel Monument", we'll make our own. Here's an example of what's available from the Table Rock Quarry.
JEFF ON GARDEN BOXES
Look for more info from Jeff Dinwiddie on helping the Good Samaritan Home build a few more garden boxes so they can plant and produce more fresh vegetables. They requested support to build some boxes, get them filled with proper soil, and plant/seed donations to support their 45 disadvantaged residents. The Good Samaritan Home is a humble organization working to end homelessness in our community. http://www.goodsamaritanleague.com
ROTARY MINUTES LAUD FOUNDATION
Janice gave a GREAT Rotary Minute last week on a clean water project implemented by ALL the Lebanese clubs. We've love to have a few volunteers to spend a few minutes searching for inspiring Rotary projects being implemented either locally or internationally and sharing these at our Tuesday meetings! Please just prepare one and have it ready to go! Its amazing to hear about all the great ways Rotarians are "Doing Good in this World". Help us learn more and thank you to everyone giving to the Foundation via Rotary Direct! You make it happen! If you need a new form because your credit card changed, or want to know how you can contribute, talk to John Schubin or look at https://www.rotary.org/en/donate Make sure to check the ANNUAL FUND-SHARE program so that our District receives half of your donated $$'s for local projects.
SUPPORT TURKEY DAYS
Turkey Days! Expect the early November Happy Dollars time to be focused on making a special collection for turkeys for the needy. We will deliver turkeys to the Mission this year. Our goal is to beat last year's contribution by 25% or so, around $500 in total. If you're moved, please plan on bringing some extra $$'s to put toward the turkey purchase. Thank you Janice for organizing! Note: as of last week, we had $375.00 plus some commitments!
DICTIONARIES TO BE DELIVERED
Dictionaries are expected to be delivered around the beginning of November. Roger will let us know when the shipper has confirmed the expected delivery date. Roger would love a volunteer to help lead this great annual project. Thank you, Roger!
DUES ARE DUE!
Our Treasurer Buck sent out your semi-annual dues notice via email about a month ago. If you haven't paid your dues yet, or can't find the invoice, let Buck know. He can send another one.
