THIS WEEK - ANGEL FUND
This week our own Will Fowler will tell us about the Boise Angel Fund, helping entrepreneurs get off the ground!
DEB STONER FROM RED CROSS ASKS FOR HELP
Deb Stoner, from the local office of the American Red Cross, visited us last week. She wants help, but not for Hurricane Harvey floods. Rather, she's working on the Idaho Home Fire Alarm campaign where they hope to install or refresh more than 1,000 home fire alarms in West Boise on the weekend of Sept 29/30. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to create teams of three to canvas the neighborhoods. You can sign up on-line. This program has been going on for many years, installing more than one million fire alarms! check it out here.
EXCHANGE STUDENTS INVADE DISTRICT
All the District 5400 Youth Exchange Students have arrived! Last week they all joined for an orientation event at Camp Sawtooth. It is reported that our Cecylia has very good English skills, but she's a bit quiet! And, she seems to be "academically serious". Remember to consider asking Ceylia to join you for some family adventures. Janice advises that Rotarians don't need to go through the background check just for single day activities.

The District is now considering applications for next year's Outbounds. Students should be high school juniors this year. Applications are due by mid-September. See the District website for more information.
